Henry was alive as late as 1898 when the roster of surviving Confederates was taken. He turns up again on the 1909 Pension List, however, he is not listed in 1911 so (unless he got rich) he likely died sometime in there. I'm fairly certain he died in Carroll as I have a note written by my g-grandfather that he attended his funeral. His marker, unfortunately, being a confederate marker, does not reflect his vital statistics. I did not find that his widow remarried in Carroll. (She had previously been married to Aaron Floyd Goad.) I do know she and Henry had at least one child, a daughter named Luler F., born in 1891. He was the son of Benjamin Horton and Mary "Polly" Largen and is buried in the Webb-Thompson Cemetery, Snake Creek, Carroll Co. He was married to 1) Sarah Ann Johnson and 2) Roxie J. Alderman.
