Pam, The children are right, but the Alexander Dalton who married Milly Nester was the son of John Dalton. I don't know where the Alphanso came from, I have seen him listed on census as Alex J., but he was my great grandfather. His son Truman Dalton was born February 11, 1878, and lived until July 15, 1966. He married Vina Dalton, the daughter of Joel and Luemma Dalton. They had a son, Cannie Alexander Dalton, who married Virginia Lee Blankenship. I have spoken with 4 of Cannie's children, who have confirmed their grandparents and great-grandparents names. Rufus Jackson Dalton was my grandfather. He was born Dec 15, 1879, and died June 17, 1950. As far as I know, Reuben did not have a son named Alexander. Reuben was my GGGGrandfather Lewis Dalton's brother.
