    1. [VACARROL] Flora Gardner Funeral
    2. Scott Shrader
    3. The Funeral on Saturday was very nice. The minister told some funny stories on how much she was loved by the church, the community, and the family. She was said to be the last person out of Carrol County to have a parent that was in the Civil War. The church was mostly packed. The emotion were mix of sadness and happiness of joy of knowing such a great women. After the service at the church most of us went to the old Gardner Cemetery on the hill with a light when a cool weather it was just perfect for a funeral with sound of thunder talking in the back ground. A repressive of the Son of Confederates was there too. After this everyone had time to reflection on who was barred at the cemetery. From Flora Mother and Father (DOC marker) to her great-grandfather (James Gardner) that was in the American Revolution. All in all it was a very good time to remember a lady that had influenced so many people life past, present and future. What I remember about her most was how she know so much of the past. On the out side you could see her age, but within she had a much younger heart, her love of her family, & her love of the color red. Yours, Scott Shrader
