She was the widow of Doctor Duncan Lowe. She was born April 14, 1910, in Grayson County to Roby and Laura Galyean Goodson. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Hallie and Johnny Brannock, Marie and Thomas Norman and Jessie and Roy South, all of Galax; a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Rhonda Lowe of Aberdeen, Md.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral was held Tuesday at Fishers Gap Primitive Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Elder Thornton Manley officiated. She was the widow of James Earl Oakley. She was born July 6, 1918 in Grayson County to the late Tom and Amy Brown Rutherford. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mildred Oakley Wilmoth and huband Elder Harold Wilmoth of Lowgap, N.C.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Lon Mack and Hazel Rutherford of Sparta, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held today, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. at the Liberty Union Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev.
