Dear Jason, My mother, Ruthie E. Horton, wrote a book of memoirs entitled A Courageous Woman. She was born in Carroll County and talks about the Bridge Store which was owned at one time by her brothers. The map at the back of her book shows the store was on route 221 on the Big Reed Island River. At one time there was a covered bridge there. I believe it has since been replaced. When I asked mother about it she said her brothers bought the store from their uncle Sam Quesenberry, who bought it from Miles Dalton's father. She was not sure of his father's name, but said it sounded like "Teed" Dalton. The Branscome cemetery is near there, but she didn't know of the Dalton or Duncan cemeteries. If you wish to order her book, send a check or money order for $23.51 (this includes cost of mailing) or if you just wish to contact her, you can write to: Ruthie E. Horton 325 Righter St. Philadelphia PA 19128 Hope this helps some. Jackie
