New to the list. Seeking information on the NESTER Family, all born around Hillsville in Carrol County, beginning with John Henry Nester around 1875-80, and his father Currin Nester, born around 1850. John Henry had a daughter named Mary Florence Nester, b. Nov. 19, 1902 in Hillsville. She married Edward Lee Kitts of Bastian, VA in Bland County. Mary and Edward were married May 19, 1919 in the Bland County Court House and had four children: Claude Henry b. July 28, 1922; Mary Lee b. April 14, 1924; Calvin Jack B. March 21, 1926; and June Emm b. Sept. 11, 1929. June Emm married my older brother Bob Carey in the early 1950's and both are living in Illinois today. Seeking any information on any of the KITTS ancestors or any descendants that might still live in Bland County, and the same with the NESTER family---- any ancestors buried in Carrol County or descendants still living there.
