Etter Laura Taylor TAZEWELL, Va. - Etter Laura Taylor, 96, of Tazewell, formerly of Horsepen, Va., died Saturday, March 23, 2002 at Tazewell Community Hospital following a long illness. Born Dec. 25, 1905 in Carroll County, Va., she was a daughter of the late John Owen Stilwell and Beulah L. Stilwell. She was a member of the Horsepen Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Taylor; four brothers, Lee Stilwell, Meef Stilwell, Tobe Stilwell, and Willie Stilwell; and three sisters, Bittie Dickens, Toy Marrs, and Guida Martin. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include several nieces and nephews, among them, a special nephew, Bobby Stilwell of Tazewell. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today at Peery & St.Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell with Walter Schwitzerlett officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Taylor Cemetery at Dugspur in Carroll County. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those attending the graveside service may meet at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Tuesday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today. Thought someone might like to see this.
