Survivors include two brothers, Shirley Dalton and Troy Dalton, both of Hillsville; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral was held Saturday at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home with burial in the Branscome Cemetery. ========== Robert Kemp Carrico, 73 Robert Kemp Carrico, 73, of Independence, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at his home. He was born July 27, 1928, in Grayson County, the Bethel Community, to Stewart Worth and Lessie Harrington Carrico. Survivors include his wife, Dove Hackler Carrico of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Kathy Carrico of Galax, David and Debbie Carrico and Richard A. and Janet Carrico, all of Independence; one brother and sister-in-law, Evan B. and Cora Lee Carrico of Independence; one sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte C. and James Hendrix of Beaver Creek, Ohio; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A funeral was held Saturday at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home with burial in the Comers Rock Cemetery. The Revs. Bobby Lorton and Fred Jennings and Dennis Carrico officiated. Box 607, Independence, Va. 24348. ======== June Frances Hart, 76 June Frances Hart, 76, of Galax, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. She was born Sept. 25, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Peter and Frances Engel. Survivors include her husband, Michael Thomas Hart of Galax; two sons, Peter Charles Hart of Fairport, N.Y., and Robert Hart of Mission Viejo, Calif.; a brother, Peter Engel of Boston, Mass.; and six grandchildren. A funeral will be held today, Monday, at 11 a.m. at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home with burial in the Coal Creek Cemetery. Dr. Thomas Whartenby will officiate. ================ Carrie F. "Don" Lynch, 82 Carrie F. "Don" Lynch, 82, of Collinsville, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. She was born May 29, 1919, in Carroll County to Mary Andrews Farmer and Lawrence E. Farmer. Survivors include a son, Rodney S. Lynch of Martinsville; two sisters, Edna Alford of Hillsville and Keister Roberts of Galax; and one grandchild.
