Galax Gazette ------ Jessie Webb Goad, 84, of Hillsville, died Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at her home. Survivors include her husband, Troy Goad of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Everett and Betty Goad of Elyria, Ohio; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A funeral was held Thursday at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home with burial in the Martin-Fariss Cemetery. The Rev. Norman Goad and Dr. Allen Cherry officiated. =========== Mary Etta Bova, 71, of Finksburg, Md., died Monday, July 30, 2001, at Carroll County General Hospital, Westminister, Md. She was born June 18, 1930, in Lisbon, Md., to Edwin W. and Lillian Strube Grimes. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Robin Shipley of Myersville, Md., and Eddie and Dana Jones of Mouth of Wilson; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Ric Zaicko of Mouth of Wilson; two brothers, Edwin W. Grimes Jr., and Milton Grimes, both of Westminister, Md.; one sister, Vivian McBride of Westminister, Md.; and four grandchildren. A funeral will be held today, Friday, at 11 a.m. at Haw Orchard Baptist Church, Rugby, with burial in the Haw Orchard Cemetery. The Revs. Arthur Lovelace and Rex Hall will officiate.
