Galax Gazette Saturday, September 01, 2001 Aaron Reford Bowman, 89, of King, N.C., died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2001, at his home. Survivors include his wife, Alene Largen Bowman of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lois B. and Wenzell Hughes of Bamberg, S.C., and Linda and Wayland Pulliam of Ridgeway; five grandchildren and their spouses; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A funeral was held Thursday at Hillsville Christian Church with burial in the Gladesboro Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Johnson officiated.Masonic Rites were conducted at graveside by the Hillsville Masonic Lodge 193.Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. ========= Bitha Marie Alley Quesinberry, 43, of Galax, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2001, at her home. She was born Feb. 16, 1958, in Galax to Sanford and Niriel Sawyers Alley. Survivors include her mother, Niriel Sawyers of Galax; her father, Sanford Alley of Galax; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Guyda and Johnny Melton of Galax and Louella "Sue" and Kenneth Green of Woodlawn; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Clinton Alley, Jerrell and Linda Alley, all of Galax, and Cleve and Mildred Sawyers of Woodlawn; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held today, Friday, at 2 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home with burial in the Alley Cemetery. The Rev. Myron Dalton and Pastor Ronny Harrison will officiate. =============
