Hi Ron, A John Vachel Mabe married Alice Emeline Lawson Aug 7, 1889 in Carroll co., Va. Alice was a sister to my g grandfather Charles Johnson Lawson. Alice is listed as a widow in the 1920 Carroll Co., N. C. census for sulphur Springs. She is living with her mother Sarah Lawson. I think he was the son of William and Prudence Mabe. Carol
