Hello all - I just received the quarterly newsletter from the Carroll County Historical Society and noticed that there were several people researching Mabes and Newmans. Seeing that these are two of my major lines (dad is a Newman, mom's maiden name is Mabe), I would love to hear from others. My mom was born in Galax but I am not aware of other Mabes from her line living there. Thanks Gray Newman Charlotte NC
