Hi Sheila, I don't claim to be an expert on the various Hannah Goads, but I have 3 in my data base; Hannah - (aka Peggy) born about 1687, married Tobias Phillips (abt 1686 -01NOV1739). That's all I have on her (except her six children... that I know of.) Hannah - (abt 1820 - abt 1872) dau. of Spencer and Patience (Dalton) Goad. Married Absolom Semones in 1844. I have 9 children listed. Hannah - (abt 1840) dau of Joshua and Polly (Hylton) Goad. Married Aaron Horton 18JAN1861 in Carroll. Aaron died 31OCT1861 in Greenbriar co during the war. I don't know what happened to Hannah. My database additionally has these two: Hannah - (born 7 Apr 1732 Richmond Co, from church records) dau of John Goad (1700-1771) & his first wife Catherine. Her father's will written July 1771 lists her as Hannah Bennett. John Alderman conjectures that her husband may have been William Bennett. No information on issue. Hannah - (abt 1742 - after 1779) dau of Abraham Goad Jr. & Joannah Ayers. Named as Hannah Burdett in her father's will written in 1779. Birthdate estimated as about 1742 judging by the order she was listed in her father's will and known birthdates of her siblings. Also, it is worth mentioning a probably misidentified Hannah "Goad": Elza Cox in his widely distributed "Genealogy of William Tobias Phillips" lists Goad as the maiden name of the Hannah who was the wife of George Phillips b. 1728 (son of Tobias Phillips 1687 & Hannah Goad 1695), but that appears to be an erroneous family tradition. He lists the parents of George's wife Hannah as Abraham Goad Jr. & Joannah Ayers, but he lists her birthdate as 7 Apr 1732, which is the birthdate for Hannah the daughter of John and Catherine Goad. If the estimate of ca 1742 is correct for the Hannah who was the dau of Abraham & Joannah, she would be too young to be the mother of George's 5 children, who were born between 1750 and 1760. Also, since George Phillips' wife Hannah apparently predeceased him (their last child was born in 1760, and George remarried to Mary Jennings in 1768), she would not be likely to be either of the Hannah Goads who were still living in the 1770's. (There is some slim chance that George Phillips & his wife Hannah were divorced and she remarried to a Burdett, but it seems much more likely that the tradition reported by Mr. Cox is simply in error.)

Well, I have 11 Hannah Goads in my database....does anyone want me to list them or no?
