There are several books about Caroline County cemeteries. I have several written by Herb Collins a Caroline native. His books are great. In those books, have you ever run across mention of Bankhead graves? My ancestors were supposedly last at 'Spring Grove' just north of Gunea Station, and a family graveyard is supposedly thereabouts.
