Bob, I think there is information on early Baptist churches in Caroline in Marshall Wingfield's History of Caroline Co., VA. I took it back to the public library last week so I can't check for you. There might also be general info on early Baptist churches in a book on Baptist history. Caroline Co. was where several Baptist dissenters went to jail for their belief in religious freedom. I have a couple of Baptist history books in my church library that I keep forgetting to bring home. As Peg said, the VA Baptist Historical Society is an excellent source.
