Hi everyone and happy 4th! Thanks for the chat notes... Anne- noticed your working on Woolfolks- Would you have any info on the Af Amer Woolfolks of Caroline county? I'm specifically looking for info on Peter Henry Woolfolk. Not sure of his b date, but we assume it ws btwn 1800-1840. He died in Richmond ca 1899. PH Woolfolk and my g-grandfather OM Steward Sr were both born in Caroline and seem to have been best friends. They were involved in several bsns ventures together in Richmond. They founded and edited the VA Star newspaper together and my ggrandfather wrote a poem in eulogy for PHW which was published in the Peoples Advocate newspaper. Through some miraculous circumstances at the State Library I ws introduced to PHWs' ggdaughter and am trying to help her in her research. We also know that PHW ws a teacher with the Freedmans Bureau, but she has very sketchy personal info on him. Sorry this note is so long, just hoping you might have some info on Peter Henry that I could pass on to her. I'll be in Richmond nx week and I'd love to pass on any news u might have! Lynn
