According to her journal written in 1841 when they moved to Missouri, the family left "White Plains, Sparta, Caroline, Virginia". I know Virginia is the state, Caroline is the county, is the town Sparta and the home place White Plains or is the town White Plains and the home place Sparta? I can't locate either one on a map.
