It was written by Lizzie Hicks Carter to her Aunt Sophia Letitia Houston Gilman. It was about Sophia letitia Houston Gilman's sister dying May 17,1926(It has No name of the sister). The sister of Sophia was the mother of the lady who wrote the letter,Lizzie Hicks Carter. Sophia Letitia Houston Gilman was my gg grandmother. She was born in 1844 and died 1938. Sophia married Corneluis P.Gilman. They lived in Caroline County, Va. He was in the Civil War.After the Civil War,they moved to Dyer county,Tennessee. Lizzie Hicks Carter also mentions in the letter Delos and Bowling Green Va.
