Isabelle was the daughter of a brother of JOHN COLEMAN. This family orginating in England then to VA. Isabelle Coleman and Ambrose Smith had a son, John R. Smith b 1765 who md Lucy Chewning of Caroline Co., VA. daughter of Samuel Chewning and Nancy Garrett. One of Lucy's sisters, Milderd Chewning md Wm Crawford their daughter Milly (Mildred)b 1790 md John Woolfolk. I was in Virginia to research about 2 years ago and researched this Coleman family.
