Hello everyone, The July 5, 2000 *Caroline Progress* paper has a front page photo of a 300 year-old house that burned up. Arson is suspected. The photo shows it had 2 brick chimneys on both sides and a rounded porch with columns leading into its entry. I'm assuming from the tone of the article the entire structure was lost but I don't know for sure. It's a sad thing to read that we've lost another historic building. Does anyone know the history of this house? All the article said was that it was located in the Caroline Pines subdivision and that firefighters from Hanover and Caroline fought the blaze. According to the property owner's association, the building was vacant but was used as a clubhouse for parties and weddings in the community. I'm just curious about who once lived there. peg
