Born in Caroline County, she was the widow of Lynwood Murray Satterwhite, a member of County Line Baptist Church in Ruther Glen, where she taught Sunday School for 61 years and a member of the Order of Easter Star. She was a nurse for Dr. William Butzner in the Fredericksburg area, prior to his retirement. She retired as an industrial nurse from Keller Industries in Milford. She is survived by two sons, Michael Satterwhite and Stuart Satterwhite, both of Beaverdam; a brother, Lewis F. Payne of Amherst; two sisters, Audrey Hart of Fredericksburg and Elizabeth Walsh of Chilesburg; two granddaughters, Dawn and Tiffany Satterwhite, both of Beaverdam. A funeral service was held Friday, May 19, 2000, at County Line Baptist Church, Ruther Glen. Dr. Fred Skaggs officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, handled the arrangements.
