(Jno. H. Potts)Poats appearing in 1870 census Caroline County. I am interested in their daughter Susan Jane Poats m. John Self in 1862. Also interested in ancestory of Leroy Franklin Poates m. Bettie Caroline Chenault and their son, Dwight Moody Poates m. Susie Roy Self 1908. Also, the ancestors and possible connections of Harry C. Poats (1874-1958) m. Addie A. whose son, Edwin Lewis Poats b. 1922, died in auto accident 1928. He had a sister who married Tom Ball.
