Lee, I went to your site and it is wonderful. Thanks. There is a Burl Ives book that has been out for years on songs of Ireland. The name of the people slips my mine but they were dislocated refugees from Germany and were stuck in Ireland trying to get to America. This was in the 17th or 18th century I believe. It must be the same deal for them as the others who ended up in Va. My Roberts were in Henrico Co, Va. George Roberts who died in Pittsylvania Co. "G. My Herrell family, having been in America since probably 1650, I can no longer claim a nationality such as Irish, Scottish, German, English or other, because in over three hundred years of intermixing with other nationalities and Native Americans, I am Everything combined, as are most Americans whose first families arrived during colonial times.
