Hi everyone, Looking at a December CAROLINE PROGRESS, there were a couple houses described (actually they were on their Candleight Tour) with photos. Since there have been questions about where certain homes are located, maybe this information might be helpful: The Roth House located at 240 N. Main Street in Bowling Green. It's owned by Mrs. Carolyn Roth and the original section of this home was built by the BARLOW family in 1878. The Shuler/Schuler House located at 121 Lakewood Drive in Bowling Green. It's owned by Mr. and Mrs. Jack Shuler. "Located along scenic Lakewood Drive, this Victorian house was built by Russell BROADDUS in the late 1800's. It was constructed on a hill overlooking the pond where he and his brother operated a mill for many years. The house directly acroos the street was built by Russell's brother, Charles, and is similiar in design and construction. Lakewood Drive is a lovely and unspoiled leg of the old stage road, in existence for 300 years before the building of Rt. 301." Maybe someone could take a photo of both houses on their next visit to Caroline and submit it to the photo gallery?? :) Peg
