Harold, Mt. Horeb Church is located 12 miles southeast of Bowling Green at Lorne. It was organized in 1773 as Reed's Church. In 1840 a new brick meeting house was built on the original site. Another house was erected on a different site on an acre tract dontated to the church in 1853 by J. R. Mason. At that time the name was changed from Reed's to Mt. Horeb. The structure presently used is the 4th building for this congregation and was dedicated on 23 Dec 1890.
