This JOHN WHITE was the son of JOHN WHITE & CATHERINE BREWER of HANOVER CO., VA. Sarah White had a son named JOHN PENDLETON GAINES b May 2, 1794. This same family of White-Gaines was related to WILLIAM GAINES b 1705 md to ISABELLE PENDLETON of KING & QUEEN and CULPEPER Co., VA. Also, this same WHITE-GAINES family was related to JAMES GAINES b 1710 KING & QUEEN CO md MARY PENDLETON and had a son EDMUND PENDLETON GAINES b ca 1743 d 1816. These same families named above are also to the same as the HENRY MADISON b 1719 md MARTHA WHITE FAMILY of CHARLOTTE CO., VA Martha being a daughter of JOHN WHITE b 1712. I would be interested to know if anyone has researched these families connected with the WHITES. All of the families in my surname list used in this query are connected with the WHITE family of VA, mine are SARAH WHITE, and WILLIAM both children of the JOHN WHITE b 1712.
