He married Frances Brooks. They had 12 children - one is my grandmother - Belle Bruce. The other children are: Ora Bruce, Joseph Bruce, Grover Bruce, Brewer Vester Bruce, Alice Bruce, William Bruce Jr., Bernard Bruce, Bertha Bruce, Edna Bruce, Grace Bruce and Seward Bruce.
