My Caroline county families are the Stanleys and the Clatterbucks. John Allen Stanley was born about 1780, I believe he is the son of Moses Stanley and Mary Allen mills(just no concrete proof). He married Mary Elizabeth Clatterbuck August 1 1805 in Caroline county. Mary Elizabeth's parents were Reuben Clatterbuck and Martha Griffin, Reuben being son of Richard Clatterbuck and Alice ?, and Martha being the daughter of Roy Griffin and Elizabeth Gates/Jeter hard to tell her last name in the revolutionary papers and have yet to find any other documentation.
