I feel it somewhow is related to my search for Robert Sale and wife Nancy Ann. I am going to attempt a cut and paste of the land transaction documents regarding this couple. Any help in identifying all the parties mentioned will be appreciated. It is my hope this will help several researchers pull some family branches together. EMelton532@aol.com Please note that this document was from Culpeper CO Deed Bk D and attachments filed in Caroline CO, Fauquier CO, and in Culpeper CO. Except for Robert Sale and wife Nancy Ann, each person mentioned is descended from or related to in some way the John Walden of Caroline Co whom I research. Robert Sale and wife Nancy Ann may also be related to John Walden but I have not information regarding that relationship. Please e-mail me if you wish further information on this point. Gayle and Elizabeth his wife of the county of Fauquier and the Commonwealth of Virginia of the one part and Thomas Spindle of the county of Culpeper and state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said William E. Gayle and Elizabeth his wife in consideration of a valuable consideration to them in hand paid by the said Thomas Spindle at or before the _____ and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents do and each of them doth bargain and and sell unto the said Thomas Spindle his heirs and assigns all the interest parts and proportions of Robert Sale in right of his wife Nancy and devisee of John Puller, Jr., late of Alabama in and to the estate of the late John Puller dec'd of Culpeper County and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders of every part and parcel thereof To have and to hold the said parts and proportions with the tenements hereditaments and all ___ singular other the premises herein before mentioned or intended to be bargained and sold and every part and parcel thereof with every _____rights members and appuntenances unto the said Thomas Spindle his heirs and and assigns forever to and for the only proper use and ____ of him the said Thomas Spindle his heirs and assigns and the said William E. Gale and Elizabeth his wife for themselves and their heirs the said land of proportions with all the singualr the premises and appuntenances before mentioned and intended to be bargained and sold unto the said Thomas Spindle his heirs and assigns free from the claim or claims of them their or either or their heirs and of all and every person or persons whatsoever shall will and and do warrant and forever defend by these presents. Gayle and Elizabeth D his wife to Thomas Spindle having been acknowledged before two magistrates was this day filed in court and ordered to be recorded. Teste F. Garnett Justices of the peace in the county aforesaid in the state of Virginia do hereby certify that Catherine Puller, the wife of John G. Puller parties to a certain deed bearing date of the 13th day of May 1828 and hereunto answered personally before us in our cunty aforesaid and being examined by us privily and apart from her husband and having the deed aforsaid fully explained to her she the said Catherine Puller acknowledged the ame to be her act and deed and declared she ahd willingley signed sealed and delivered the same and that she wished not to retract from it. Gayle of the other part all of the county of Caroline and state aforesaid Witnesseth that for all and in consideration of the sum of thre hundred and niety seven dollars and fifty cents to us in hand paid by the said William E. Gayle the receipt of which we do herby acknowledge and forever acquit to the said Gayle his heirs or assigns bargain to sell alien and confirm (and forever quit claims to the premises) unto the said Gayle all our Interest in and to or any wise appertaining the land or lands of Jno Puller deceased of Culpeper County Virginia ^(---) in our individual capacity and as the divisor or Jno Puller, Jr. dec'd of Alabama.
