My grandparents bought it in the late 1920s, and my grandmother lived there for nearly 70 years until her death two years ago. She was the great (I think) granddaughter of Andrew Broaddus, the first of three generations of pastors of Salem Baptist Church in Sparta, which is visible from the house.
