Pierce, 90, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, a native of Ruther Glen in Caroline County, died Aug. 1, 2000, at Sunbelt Health Care in Apopka, FL. Mrs. Pierce had retired from civil service with the Navy. She was the widow of Jack M. Pierce. She is survived by sister-in-law, Anne Pierce McWhirt of Amissville, in Culpeper County. A graveside service was held Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, in Culpeper Masonic Cemetery. Rev. Marvin Cook officiated. Clore-English Funeral Home, Culpeper, handled the arrangements.
