    3. My husband and I have been to the Caroline County C.H. twice in the last couple of years to do a major amount of research in the old deed books, etc. Imagine my surprise when I learned several months ago that all of Caroline's old records had been moved to Fredericksburg......I was told the name of the destination, but did not write it down. I am assuming that the "Heritage Center" in Fredericksburg (about which Tiffany wrote) is where all of those Caroline County records were sent??? Can somebody confirm this? If this is where the records are now archived I, too, would like to know how to get to this center for future reference. Julie [email protected] wrote: How interesting - I just got back from Fredericksburg today myself...I took my daughter up to University of Mary Washington (as a freshman) to school - I went to the library there to do research and out to the Germanna community history center but I am unfamiliar with the Fredericksburg Heritage Center - where is it? Is it run by the Historical/Genealogy Society or is an LDS Center? Just wondered where it is for future trips up there...... My ancestors in this area are Garner, Sturdy, Gough, Phillips & Kahl (Call) - probably more than that as well........... 3. Julie, My Aunt Ellen Ruth Carneal was a Graduate of Mary Washington. She lived in that area and taught first grade for many years. She also played the organ at Carmel Baptist Church there. She was the daughter of Sarah Long and Ernest Carneal. She never married, nor did her brother, Harry Carneal. Her mother was a sister to my father William Zachary Long born in Caroline County in 1883. If you should run across anyone connected to the above families in Caroline County, would appreciate hearing from you. Ruth has a nephew still living there. His name is Ernest Carneal, Son of Ashton Carneal. Good luck to your daughter with her college experience. I am sure she will love it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Julie Lofurno" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, August 29, 2005 9:45 AM Subject: Re: [VACAROLI] Fredericksburg Heritage Center > My husband and I have been to the Caroline County C.H. twice in the last couple of years to do a major amount of research in the old deed books, etc. Imagine my surprise when I learned several months ago that all of Caroline's old records had been moved to Fredericksburg......I was told the name of the destination, but did not write it down.
