He married Rosa Ann Beasley, daughter of James Madison Beasley and Mary Jane Gray. Charles and Rosa had children Andrew, Oda, Mary, and Wick. Charlie is listed in the 1900 census with his mother, Mahala, living with him and his family. In the 1870 census, Charles is listed as 6 yrs. old with James Martin, 64, and wife Mahala, 39. Charlie and Rosa are buried in the Pavey Cemetery in Caroline County, Virginia. I have received information that Mahala may have been the daughter of Josiah Loving, and that James Martin may have been the son of William Martin, but, I am not sure about that. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Have you run across a Reuben or Lucinda Beasley/Beazley in your search? They were supposedly brother and sister and she married a Wm. Francis Jackson and this couple were among my ancestors in Caroline Co?

So all of this took place ONLY in Caroline Co. I am descended from James F. Long in Caroline co.Va his daughter Ada Mae Long married Llewellyn Covington.
