Anne, Down through the years, I think I have researched just about everyone in Caroline CO. I descended from John Walden and John Gayle, both of whom married twice and had at least 12 children each. I am a distant relative of Kim Campbell of Bowling Green who has the same ancestors. The Walden men were migrating early so very few of them are found in Caroline CO; however, most of the females remained, married into many families there. I have a feeling that I could find some of my connections among the Greens, Gatewoods, Bowcocks, Harrises, Dillards, Spindles etc. who might be found there in 1840. I belong to Ancestry and can, by searching name by name, put some of these families together; however, it is always helpful to know who lived in particular district, who the neighbors were, and that information is missing when one looks only for one name. I am not sure how you transmit this information but I believe it would be of help to me. I certainly do admire your tenacity in doing this project and then offering it to those who feel they can use it. If you have the time, could you either transmit the file or tell me how I can obtain it? Eldred W. Melton ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
