I transcribed the 1840 Caroline Land Tax Rolls as a RTF Word Document, if anyone is researching during this time period. I better warn you it's over 40 pages. <G> It is a fully sortable table. And easy to search. I copied a number of these tax years from microfilm - I hope to get more of them put into Word when I can find the time. I just don't give anyone permission to use it in a publication or web page. Write to me if you would like a copy. annaupton@insightbb.com Anne
Anne, I am researching the Robert & Elsa Brooks family of Caroline County, VA. Yes, I would like a copy of the tax records. I will be glad to send the list to you but neither Robert or Elsa are on these tax rolls - so you probably won't find it useful. > Anne, > > I am researching the Robert & Elsa Brooks family of Caroline County, VA. > > Yes, I would like a copy of the tax records. Anna, Thank you so much for you kind offer. I would very much appreciate a copy. Quite a few of my family members came from Caroline Co.: Broaddus, Campbell, Carter, Chinault/Chenault, Garnett, Haynes, and Motley. Thank you.
