Maggi, I'm looking for any information on any/all of these chandler's living in Caroline between 1796 and 1880. Here's the list. Thilman Chandler, 1796 - 183? looking for DoD and parents. Ursilla (Ursula) Chandler 1800 - 187? looking for DoD and parents. Lindsay Candler 1824 18?? son of Thilman married Martha ???, need marriage date and Martha's surname. Andrew Chandler 1832 - 188? son of Thilman married Amelia Madison, need marriage date Mary J Chandler DOB 1831- she is listed in the 1850 census as living in the Ursilla Chandler household. Is sshe a single daughter or a spoise of a chandler. Martha A. Chandler DOB 1825 - she is listed in the 1850 census as living in the Ursilla Chandler household. Is she a single daughter or a spoise of a chandler. Thomas Chandler DOB 1830 - He is listed in the 1860 census of Ursilla and Mary J. residence with several Chandler's including Virgina, age 8 and John age 3. Is he the spouse of Mary J. and the father of Virgina and John? Any infornation on any of the above is appreciated. I am also looking for Longs in Caroline County,vA My grandfather was John F. Long b. June 4, 1847 married Lucy E. Richardson I believe her mother was a Estes. I'm interested in the Moncure material since my Bankhead ancestors, Dr. John, etc., were in and about Port Royal and married into the Moncure's. One of Dr. John's sons, Dr. Wm., is buried at Aquia north of Fredericksburg with the Moncure's. I descend from another son, Charles Lewis Bankhead. Dr. John's mother-in-law was Lucy Taliaferro who m. Charles Lewis of Cedar Creek just south of Port Royal. And on my mother's side I connect with the Hawes and Coleman's.
