I am still looking for the parents of Abner Chapman. I know Abner married Phebe Carter in 1809 Caroline County, Va. Her parents George Carter and Frances Diane Goodloe, who had three children Goodloe, Joseph and Phebe. I am also interested in where Phebe might be buried. I think it is Kentucky but haven't found the notice of death which was probably before 1839 when Joseph their son died and left a will in Woodford County, Ky. Abner was probably living there at that time as my gggrandmother took care of him in Woodford County according to his will. They do not appear on the 1840 census. According to will Joseph was guardian of Abners younger children. 1850 census shows Abner in Woodford County with his son Anthony and daughter Malvina Chapman living their with her children by the name of Upton.
