Interesting, I believe there were Colemans and Taliaferros who came with my Longs to Kentucky and then on to the Missouri Territory near present day St. Louis in the late 1790's. Gabriel Long, son of Laurence and Priscillah (Cogswell) Long married Elizabeth Lewis, daughter of John Lewis and Elizabeth Harvey. One of Dr. John's sons, Dr. Wm., is buried at Aquia north of Fredericksburg with the Moncure's. I descend from another son, Charles Lewis Bankhead. Dr. John's mother-in-law was Lucy Taliaferro who m.
