...Charles W. ENGARD, born December, 1872 in VA. His mother was Laberta/Bertie JONES, daughter of Charles W. JONES & Mildred YATES of Caroline Co., VA. I'm not sure Charles' parents ever married. What's ironic is that Charles W. (himself) fathered a son with Laura DAVENPORT and subsequently, was never a part of his son's life either. Does anyone on the list have access to the microfilm roll numbers for Births in VA which includes Dec., 1872? Does anyone have easy access to Caroline Co.'s main library for surname files or family histories that might include Charles' ancestry? I've pulled every record from Warren Co., PA where he resided in his adult years - EXCEPT his marriage record to Grace WOODBURY. Working on that. I really believe VA holds the key to the name of his father within Charles' birth record. Can anyone help me? Gerre Engard Byrd
