1820-21 JONES ADS WALLER in Chancery. Fredericksburg District Court John Jones died in St. Margaret's Parish in 1779 & left to his wife 15 slaves. When she died in 1819, these 15 and their increase numbered 57. This suit was brought to make a division among the heirs or representatives of the children of John Jones. Alas, I don't have the names of the 15 slaves left by John Jones, it is very possible additional papers in the case in Fredericksburg would reveal those names. While the petition says 57, the number divided was 56, one must have died.
