I would like to say Thank You to everyone that has given me tips on snakes. I am not from the south but wish I was. I have been to Kentucky 3 times in the last 6 years for research and last November cleaned up a cemetery that was overgrown. I am nervous now as I guess I will be entering Snake Season. I am going to check with the Heritage Center in Fredericksburg and see if there are local guides for hire. It might not be a bad thing to have a local around. I am trying to gather as much information from old maps and deeds so I can get permission ahead of time. It is so amazing how much you can learn from maps and deeds. I did get a tick once on my first visit to Kentucky. I did not know I had it until I felt something and pulled it off of behind my ear lobe, it was the size of a pea. I had to ask what it was, as I had never seen one so large. But I do not know what Chiggers are. One tip for cemetery pictures. If you can download your pictures to CD and then leave one with the local library and Genealogy/Historical Society, this helps also. Thank you again. Sincerely Tiffany Luchetta
