I see a George Carter of Christs Church Parish, Lancaster, born 1725 and married to a Miss BEALE, not Neale. They settled in Caroline Co in 1750. Their children are: Charles, Edward, John, Richard,Thompson, Spenser, George,Presley, Betsy, Sally & Peggy. He received land grants in Halifax Va in 1766 & 68 and moved to that countywith all of his family but John who had married in Caroline Co and stayed there keeping a tavern. According to the Caroline Co marriage Register Georges children married as follows: Thompson married Polly Farmer on 12-22-1814, Spenser married Sarah Fletcher 3-24-1815, Charles married Matilda Hans on 12-18-1818, George married Anne Shackelford on 12-18-1818 Hope this aids in your search Elaine
