I just joined this list today. I have just broken a brick wall by finding my Great Grandmother and her family on a 1900 census for the Caroline County, Bowling Green area. My Great Great Grandmother was Nellie Linsey born in 1850. She was a widow and the children in the household with her at that time were my Great Grandmother Susie Linsey Wright born in 1884, who married Washington Irving (W.I.) Wright from Spottysylvania County and her two sisters Ida and Mary. Susie's daughter my Grandmother Mary Wright Boyd has been very helpful with oral history. I am not sure who Nellie's husband was but I did find a Nellie that could be her on the 1880 census in D.C. with a husband named Warner Linsey. I have been told my families name is actually Linzey but I have only seen it as Linsey on the actual census as it pertains to my family. I am posting in hopes that someone may be a relative or know of this family. Also any genealogy research links or tips anyone would like to share would be greatly appreciated. I currently use Heritage Quest.
