I believe that Sarah Vaughan's (who married Ambrose Gaunt) father is Cornelius Vaughan. Any idea how he fits into these Vaughans? Also, who are the parents of Ambrose Vaughan? And would you have any dates on these folks? I am looking for the husband of my ancestor, Mrs. Mary "Molly" Gaunt, who died in Culpeper Co. in 1827. Her Will Book is missing. But, her daughter Sarah S. "Sally" Gaunt married Elias Watters/Waters in 1799 in Culpeper Co. His name was transcribed as Walters. The lack of the early marriage records in Culpeper and Caroline Co. are really hampering the research.
