Jeter, the son of Creed and Mary Evelyn. I calculate that he married Mary Evelyn Taliaferro sometime before early 1866. As far as I know, my Great Grandmother Nannie Brooke Jeter was their first child and there were at least 4 after her. Then Mary died and Creed married her sister, Fannie. After this marriage, I believe he had 3 more children. I did not find Creed in any Censuses until 1880 -- Did you? I believe your husband is my cousin!
