Hi Judy and all, I have a 4th great grandmother named Sara (Sallie) Whitlock who was married to Samuel Madison 2/10/1813 in Caroline County. She is said to be buried in Lakewood Cemetery in Bolwing Green, Caroline County, Va, but I've never found her location. It is an old graveyard with many dead listed from long ago that have no head stones. I wish I could find out more about her, and her husband Samuel (2 brick walls for me)!! Her daughters Jane Ann and Cassandra were said to be nieces of James Madison in the local newspaper, but I've never found a link to substantiate that. My family line remained in Bowling Green for many generations. My Mom grew up there, and when she passed away, we buried her in Lakewood 4 years ago. My roots to BG are still strong.
