I know that he didn't serve in the military but contributed to the cause by providing supplies, etc. I just need verification of that.     3. Joanne, Look in REVOLUTIONARY WAR PUBLIC SERVICE CLAIMS I found records for my ancestor giving service to the Militia of Caroline County in 1781 by "driving beeves." I live in Florida but I found someone in Richmond to look it up and send me a copy of the document.
