    1. Re: [VACULPEP] Microfilm of the census
    2. OK folks, I am back from the Hearthstone Book Shop and I did some damage to my wallet. LOL!! I bought a book called "Cemeteries of Caroline County, Virginia Volume 3-Private Cemeteries by Herbert Ridgeway Collins. I bought [on order] 2 CDs of the 1900 Census, one was for Fauquier County and listed on it with Fauquier is Floyd and Fluvanna Counties, the second one was the 1900 Census of Caroline County and listed on it with Caroline Co. is Chesterfield, Cumberland and Craig County. So you see it just doesn't have the one county on the CD. By the way someone mentioned the book Genealogical Abstracts from 18th-Century Virginia Newspapers by Robert K. Headley, Jr. I have that book, it sells for $35. I also have a Veterans' Schedule CD U.S. Selected States, 1890, it contains an index of approx. 385,000 war veterans and veterans' widows who were enumerated on the special veterans' schedule of the 1890 U.S. census. Although the 1890 veterans' schedule was meant only to record information about Union soldiers and their widows, it also lists information about some Confederate soldiers, as well as soldiers who served in other wars, such as the War of 1812 and the Mexican-American War. It gives the Microfilm page number, state, county, and locality of residence at the time of the enumeration.
