Some folks on this list apparently have their browser settings tuned to repeat / quote the entire content of any message to which they are responding, which message may also contain the entire message of a preceding post. The others on the have already read this earlier messages once. Please change your settings to allow you to respond without repeating the e-mail that you are responding to, and to select whatever portions of the original post are essential to repeat to understand what you are responding to. Often it is not necessary to quote any part of the original post. When I encounter these lengthy repetitions of earlier messages, I sometime just delete the entire post to the list and I am in the digest mode. Other times I quickly scroll through the entire digest so fast that I miss original posts to the list. The repeated messages are stored on servers at RootsWeb and will hamper anyone trying to search RootsWeb archives in the future If you don't know how to adjust your browser settings grab a teenager and have them help you.
