Elaine, I'm looking for information on Thomas Chandler and Mary J Chandler living in Port Royal during the 1870 census. They may have had two Children named Virginia b. 1852 and John b.1857. Thomas, whose middle initial may have been "C." was born about 1831 and Mary J was born about 1830. Mary J. was the daughter of Thilman and Ursilla Chandler both born around 1800 in Caroline. Joanne, I am interested in anything regarding ATKINSON'S in Caroline County, VA. More specifically, Obediah-Obadiah-Obdier etc. He was born between 1771-1780 in Caroline County and married in 1804 to a Margaret Collins WEST. Margaret may have been a daughter of Edmund WEST but I have no proof. I have been unable to asertain the identity of Obediah's parents or Margaret's for certain. Obediah & Margaret had 5 children: Unknown female b. bet. 1805-1810 in Caroline, Unknown Female b. bet. 1805-1810 in Caroline, Unknown Male born bet. 1810-1820 in Caroline, Amy born 04 Jan 1811 in Hanover, VA d. 1881 in Hanover, and Richard Eldridge b. circa 1817 in either Hanover or Caroline County d. 20 Nov 1870 in Hanover, VA. I would appreciate a look up in your book for any of these folks.
